Christina Baglas is in her ninth year at UCSB and serves as the Associate Director of Development.
Baglas is very passionate about college athletics and believes that students can utilize athletics to enhance their college experience, grow as individuals, and assist in their academic success. She also serves on the Chancellor's Staff Advisory Council, the Student Athlete Advisory Board, and on the Campus Elections Committee.
Baglas earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Connecticut in Sport Management. Previously, she worked in the Athletic Departments at the University of Connecticut and at Harvard University.
In the Santa Barbara community Baglas serves on committees for and volunteer with the Special Olympics, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and the Organic Soup Kitchen. She has been lucky enough to work for the World University Games (think Olympics with college athletes) and has represented the United States Delegation for three World Games in Serbia, China and Russia. In the summer of 2015, Baglas will travel to South Korea to once again work the games.
