Brandon Trinkwon, Bob Williams, Carlene Mitchell to Appear on This Week's Talk'n Gauchos

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UCSB baseball's shortstop Brandon Trinkwon, men's basketball head coach Bob Williams, and women's head basketball coach Carlene Mitchell will be the guests on this week's edition  of "Talk'n Gauchos," UCSB Athletics' weekly radio show.

"Talk'n Gauchos" is broadcast live every Tuesday night from 6-7 p.m. at the Beachside Bar and Cafe, located on Goleta Beach and hosted by Gerry Fall - The Voice of the Gauchos. Fans are encouraged to come watch the show in person for the chance to meet the guests as well as participate in a raffle for UCSB and Beachside prizes.

Trinkwon is coming off a week that saw him collect eight hits and lead his team to a 4-0 record with a weekend sweep of San Jose State and another midweek victory over Saint Mary's. Trinkwon was nominated as a Big West Player of the Week nominee for his stellar play with the bat and glove. Brandon and the rest of the Gauchos will head to Austin, Tex. this weekend to face the Longhorns for the first time since 1987.

Bob Williams's squad is coming off one of their most pivotal wins of the season, beating the Matadors in Northridge, Calif. to clinch a spot in the Big West Tournament. Kyle Boswell (27 points) and Alan Williams (32 points) each set career scoring records last week. Williams and the men's basketball team will finish off the regular season with a pair of home contests, facing Cal State Fullerton on Thursday night and UC Riverside on Saturday night. Similarly, Carlene Mitchell's side will have a pair of home games this week to close out the regular season as they fight for position in the Big West standings.
