Position: Assistant Athletic Trainer (ATC)

Bob was born in San Diego and grew up in the north San Diego county town of Encinitas. Bob's interest in athletic training began in high school where he volunteered as a student athletic trainer after learning some basic techniques from some of the coaches on the staff.

Upon graduation from UCSB, Bob served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of California, Berkeley. He worked with the football team and traveled with the men's track and field team. He was also the athletic trainer for the national champion men's swim team. After the one year graduate assistantship with Cal, Bob moved across the Bay to become head athletic trainer for Skyline College in San Bruno, California. He oversaw a program with 10 intercollegiate sports.

In 1987 Bob returned to his alma mater to work as an assistant athletic trainer. His assignments included overseeing the soccer and baseball programs. But in 1991, Bob left UCSB to eventually work for the HEALTHSOUTH Corporation in Santa Rosa, California. Besides his day to day responsibilities with patient care, he also served as outreach coordinator to 5 high schools and was the athletic trainer for the Santa Rosa Rugby Club. He then transferred to the HEALTHSOUTH facility in Ft. Collins, Colorado, where he was also part of the outreach program working with USA Wrestling as an athletic trainer for national and international events along with working with rodeo from Little Britches to the professional level.

Bob returned to Santa Barbara in 2001 as an assistant athletic trainer for UCSB.
