UCSB students have been getting loco at Gaucho games for years donned in
Gaucho gold t-shirts, and the UCSB Athletic Department is supporting this
tradition with the "Unleash the Loco" program. The free program offers all
UCSB students the best seats in the house at all regular season home games,
the 2011 soccer game day t-shirt, great giveaways throughout the year,
and e-mail updates about upcoming promotions.

Last year over 6,000 students signed up to "Unleash the Loco" and the goal this year is to eclipse 8,000.  The largest student groups in the west are UC Davis (12,000 members) and Arizona (10,000 members) and UCSB's ultimate goal is to reach those numbers.

The Gauchos are off to a 4-0-1 start this year and travel to UCLA on Friday. There are numerous outstanding home matches still to be played, including an Oct. 5 match-up with the defending national champion Akron and a Nov. 4 showdown against Big West rival Cal Poly.  Both games will be televised. Students are encouraged to sign up today to support the Gauchos.
