As a junior Lance played in 35 games, starting 24 of them ... Posted a .200 batting average ... Had 16 hits in 82 at bats, scoring eight runs ... Posted two hits on four different occassions ... Went 2-4 with a walk, a double, and an RBI on March 6th against Sacramento State.
In his sophomore season Lance saw time in 25 games, 13 of them starts ... He had 10 hits in 50 at-bats with seven of his hits for extra bases to carry a .471 slugging percentage, good for third on the team ... In the opening game of the season on February 23rd he went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI ... On March 14th against Northern Illinois University, he went 1-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in ... Had a pinch-hit, three-run home run on May 8 vs. Cal State Northridge ... Was 2-for-6 at No. 24 Stanford with a double, a run scored and a stolen base on March 7 ... Had a triple and two runs scored on May 2 at UC Riverside.
Suffered knee injury in first week and missed majority of season.
Lance played for the Conejo Oaks in the California Collegiate League... He played in 37 games starting 33 of them... In his 121 at bats he recorded 26 hits and 19 RBIs... He stole 10 bags n the season.
