Baseball Season Tickets Now On Sale

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara baseball team, led by new head coach Andrew Checketts, has released an impressive 2012 schedule that includes 27 home games against previous national champions Oregon State, Fresno State, Pepperdine, USC, Cal State Fullerton and more.

Season tickets are now on sale for only $75. All season ticket orders will also receive a $25 gift card to the Gaucho Shop (redeemable only on game-days or at the Athletics Ticket Office in the ICA Building on campus). Tickets can easily be purchased online by clicking here or at the Athletics Ticket Office located in the ICA Building Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by calling (805) 893-UCSB.

Kids are free to every baseball game by wearing their 2011-12 GKids t-shirt. GKids t-shirts can be purchased through the Athletics Ticket Office in the ICA Building or online.

The Gauchos' season begins on Friday, February 17 when the Gauchos host two-time national champion Oregon State in a four-game weekend series.

All seating at Caesar Uyeseka Stadium is general admission with the Gaucho Fund's One Donation is Gold donors – and the new Gaucho9 baseball support group – receiving a free parking pass with their purchase of season tickets. For information on this offer, please call 893-UCSB.

Gaucho baseball season tickets can also be purchased at the January 27 dinner hosted by the three-time National Baseball Congress national champion Santa Barbara Foresters, titled "Foresters Hot Stove Night for Baseball." The dinner, which will be held at the Earl Warren Showgrounds, is value priced at $75 per person and just $25 for kids.

Beginning at 5:30, the evening will include Checketts introducing the 2012 Gauchos, Foresters Manager Bill Pintard inducting the 2012 Foresters Hall of Fame class – which includes UCSB alum Sean Luft (1989-90) – and Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle as the keynote speaker. The night will also include numerous Foresters and Gaucho alumni in attendance.

The dinner is the start of a terrific Reunion Weekend that also includes golf with Major League Baseball players and Gaucho alums on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Glen Annie Golf Course. For information on the entire weekend and how to be a part of it, please click here
