SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Continuing their commitment to the Santa Barbara baseball community, the UCSB baseball spent time with the Dos Pueblos Little League Challenger Division on Sunday, Oct. 21st.
The Gauchos hosted a skill clinic at the Goleta Valley South Little League fields for the group of boys and girls with physical, developmental, and intellectual challenges. This is the second time the Gauchos and Challengers have spent time together in the last year.
The event included skill practice, games, and a whole lot of fun. This gave the Challengers an opportunity to get out and play some baseball during their off season and also learn a few skills from the UCSB baseball players and coaches. The Gauchos will be back out on February 9th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at Girsh Park to help the Challengers kick off their spring season which begins March 2nd.
If you are interested in getting involved with the Challenger Division in Goleta, Carpinteria, or Ventura, please visit their website at www.GoChallengers.org. Recruiting sponsors, coaches, managers, field staff, equipment, first aide (medical professional), Hospitality/Info and assistant event coordinators for upcoming Spring Season are needed!
