SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — With the race to the postseason regionals heating up, AM 1290 has added Wednesday night's UCSB baseball game against Loyola Marymount to its broadcast schedule.
Gerry Fall — the Voice of the Gauchos — will have the call, with Kevin Cannon providing color commentary. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
With this addition, all eight of UCSB's remaining regular season games can be heard over the air on AM 1290 and online through UCSBgauchos.com.
Winners of five of their last six games, the Gauchos are firmly in contention for one of the at-large bids in June's 64-team NCAA Tournament. At 28-21, UCSB has already matched its win total from 2012.
On Wednesday, Justin Jacome will take the ball for the Gauchos. UCSB's Saturday starter for most of the season, Jacome has missed the last two weeks after suffering an ankle injury in a 2-0 shutout at UC Riverside on Apr. 27.
UCSB will wrap up its home schedule this weekend with a three-game series against Pacific. Tickets for that important series can be found here.
