Nick made 18 appearances with six starts in his junior season ... He posted a 7.28 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched ... Finished by allowing 75 hits, which was sixth-best in the Big West ... Walked just 16 batters, counting as fourth-best among conference pitchers ... Best start came in his second outing as a Gaucho when he faced No. 24 Stanford ... Pitched seven strong innings, allowing seven hits and one earned run with one walk and one strikeout ... On March 13th against Northern Illinois University he went 6.1 innings striking out four while only walking two ... Pitched two hitless innings in a 5-4 win over USC on April 27 ... Tossed 2.2 scoreless innings with a strikeout at Cal State Bakersfield on May 4 ... Had career-high five strikeouts on March 21 vs. New Mexico State.

2010 Summer
Nick played for the Bend Elks in the West Coast Collegiate League... He posted a 1-3 record in 23.2 innings pitched... Carried a 5.71 ERA in nine games while racking up 11 strike outs.

San Jose City College
Played two seasons for coach Doug Roblo at San Jose City College ... Posted an 11-5 record with a 1.96 ERA in his sophomore season ... Struck out 58 hitters in 126 innings ... Also had one save ... Was a Second Team All-Coast Golden Gate Conference ... Named SJCC Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year ... His ERA was good enough for 10th in the entire state ... Won a 2009 Regional and was a Super Regional runner-up with the Jaguars ... In the Super Regionals vs. Diablo Valley College pitched a complete game, allowing just one run on five hits with five strikeouts and no walks to put SJCC in the championship game.

High School
A three-year letterwinner at Oak Grove High under coach Tom Galante ... In his senior season, batted .420 with 25 RBI, 14 runs, two home runs and seven stolen bases ... Went 10-2 with a 1.18 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 77 innings ... Named First Team All-Mt. Hamilton Conference in 2006 and 2007 ... Went to the CIF playoffs in both of those seasons ...
