One of the key relievers out of the pen for the Gauchos, Moran appeared in 21 games for UCSB, which was the second highest total for the Gauchos...Struck out 38 batters in 30 innings pitched, good for a 11.4 strikeouts per-nine innings average...Went 1-1 with a 5.65 ERA.

Coached by Tony Bloomfield...Selected as an All-Bay Valley Conference Pitcher in 1999...Was drafted in the 20th round by the San Diego Padres in the 1999 MLB draft.
