Had a difficult time matching stellar freshman season...Posted 3-3 record with 7.00 ERA in 14 appearances...Tossed third most innings of any pitcher with 54...Finished tied for fewest walks per game in Big West with a 1.33 average.

2002
True freshman was very impressive on the mound for UCSB. Had a 6-1 record in nine starts, including a complete game conference victory against UOP.

Pitched at Hart High School...Coached by Jim Ozella and Bud Murray...All-Foothill league and All-CIF as a junior and senior...Made the Los Angeles Dodger Elite team in 2000 and the Daily news All-Star team in 2001...In all four years of high school, team was Foothill league Champions...CIF Southern Section champs in 1999...As a senior posted an 8-2 record with a 2.33 ERA while striking out 64 batters...As a junior went a perfect 11-0 with a 1.67 ERA and 60 K's...Threw one no-hitter and three shutouts in high school career...Academic honors include, Academic All-American, Honor Scholar Award and Honors Society...Also participated in basketball and cross country.
