Started 26 games as a designated hitter and three behind the plate while posting a .265 batting average...Knocked two home runs and drove in 21 RBI...Tallied 27 hits and 14 walks...Had six multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games including one four-RBI performance...Hit eventual game-winning home run in UCSB's opening day 2-1 victory over San Diego State.
Started majority of the games behind the dish for the Gauchos...Provided steady numbers at the plate batting .318 with 9 doubles and 23 RBI...Most impressive game came against rival Cal Poly on May 24 when he mashed two triples and scored four runs...Had another multiple hit game the next day finishing the day two for five with three RBI.

Played for Rich Sciutto at Burlingame High School...Batted .480 at the varsity level and a league record .600 his senior year...In addition to his high batting average, Vogt also clubbed six homers...Received all-league, all-county, all-state and All-American honors.
