Gauchos and Nevada Have Sunday's Game Rained Out

March 20, 2011

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Heavy rain late Saturday night and all morning on Sunday canceled the final game of a three-game series between UC Santa Barbara and Nevada. No makeup date has been scheduled.

This is the third game this season that the Gauchos have lost due to weather. UCSB swept Nevada in Saturday's doubleheader, highlighted by Matt Vedo's 8 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball in Saturday's nightcap.

The Gauchos, 9-6 overall, play at USC on Tuesday and then travel to Corvallis, Ore. next weekend to play a three-game series vs. Oregon State.

UCSB does not return home until Friday, April 1 when it hosts a three-game series vs. San Jose State.

The remainder of UCSB baseball games will be broadcast live online by clicking here.

Tickets to all Gaucho home games are available by calling (805) 893-UCSB or online by clicking here.
