UCSB Announces 2006 All-Star Baseball Camp

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara baseball coaching staff has announced the dates for the 2nd Annual High School All-Star Camp this summer. The camp, which offers a unique baseball opportunity to high school players who are interested in playing in college at the Division I level, will be held July 9-13, 2006 on the UCSB campus.
Offering a one to eight coach/player ratio, the camp will give players the opportunity to participate in games and receive three hours of individual instruction each day. Each participant will receive equal attention and playing time during the week of instruction and also receive a written evaluation from a member of UCSB's coaching staff. Seminars on academic preparation, nutrition and the mental game will be presented in addition to instruction in every aspect of the game. In addition, all participants will receive a Santa Barbara cap and team jersey.
UCSB's current roster has four players that attended the All-Star Camp in high school.
The camp will consist of four teams with a 20-man roster on each squad. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and spots will fill up quickly.
