Gauchos Host Cal State Northridge on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara baseball team will conclude its five-game homestand by hosting Cal State Northridge in a non-conference game on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The game can be heard live online by clicking here with the pregame show starting 15 minutes before first pitch.

The Gauchos went 3-1 last week in defeating Pepperdine in 15 innings and taking two out of three from Big West rival Long Beach State. UCSB enters the game 17-17 overall while Cal State Northridge is 18-21. The game is the second of a home-and-home non-conference series between the two teams.

CSUN won the first of the meetings on April 12 on a walk-off, two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, 3-2. The Matadors have lost five of six, getting swept at Cal Poly and losing two of three to Pacific this past weekend.

The Gauchos will send out RHP Nick Loredo as the starter. Loredo is 3-2 with a 4.09 ERA. He will be opposed by RHP Carlos Gonzalez who is 1-1 with a 5.66 ERA.
