April 28, 2010

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara baseball team announced on Wednesday that it has added a game to the 2010 schedule.

The Gauchos will play at No. 5 UCLA on Tuesday, May 18 at 6 p.m. giving each team a home game in the 2010 season. UCLA, ranked No. 3 at the time, defeated UCSB at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium on March 23.

The Bruins are 30-7 on the season and 7-5 in the Pac-10. UCLA is also an impressive 18-5 at Jackie Robinson Stadium.

UCSB hosts UC Riverside this weekend beginning on Friday at 3 p.m. The game is part of UCSB Athletics' Faculty Free Friday which allows all UCSB faculty and staff free admission to athletic events by showing their ID.

Saturday's and Sunday's games both begin at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live in AM 1490 and streaming live online at UCSBgauchos.com.

Steve Wendt will handle the play-by-play duties with every Big West weekend series scheduled to air live on the radio and streaming live online. Click here for more information and a schedule of baseball games on the air!
