James Garcia Named Louisville Slugger Third Team All-American By Collegiate Baseball

Tucson, Ariz. - Junior right-handed pitcher James Garcia was named a Louisville Slugger Third Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball, it was announced today. The Torrance, California native will pitch tonight in UC Santa Barbara's opening game of the NCAA Regionals against Florida International in South Bend, Indiana.

Garcia, the first UCSB All-American since Jerrold Roundtree in 1991, finished the regular season with a 10-2 record and 2.63 ERA. He pitched five complete games while striking out 105 batters in 116.1 innings of work. He becomes only the second All-American pitcher in UCSB history.
