Orlando Johnson scored six points, grabbed four rebounds and passed off for one assist as Team USA improved to 3-0 at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen, China with a 112-68 win over South Korea.

Johnson, who played a bit over 18 minutes, was in the starting lineup for the second time in three wins by the Americans.  He made 3-of-5 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from two-point range.

JaMychal Green (Alabama) was the game's high scorer with 17 points.  Scoop Jardine (Syracuse) had 16 points and three assists.

Team USA will continue play at the Games on Wednesday, August 17 when it plays Finland in a game that will tip-off at 3:00 a.m. (PDT).

Johnson's Gaucho teammate, Greg Somogyi, had eight points, six rebounds and one blocked shot in Hungary's 78-54 loss to Finland on Monday.  For the third straight game, Somogyi was in Hungary's starting lineup.

Johnson, Somogyi and the rest of the UCSB team will play an outstanding home schedule in 2011-12.  The non-conference slate will include games against traditional rival UNLV and 2011 Sweet 16 participant San Diego State.  Season tickets will go on sale soon.  Call 805-893-UCSB or check here for all Gaucho ticket information.
