Jason Levy is in his eighth year with the men’s basketball program and he is now the program's Director of Academics and Internal Affairs.
Levy’s responsibilities include day-to-day operations and administrative duties including: coordinating practices, classes and study hall for players. He also provides academic enhancement, connecting student-athletes to resources across campus and serves as a liaison to other staff in the department. Levy provides pre and post-game analysis using statistical modeling and advanced analytics. He also is in charge of travel while the team is on the road as well as a cadre of student managers.
Levy was the Manager and then Head Manager for the Gauchos from 2007-11. He has also served as the Director of Basketball Operations and Director of Analytics. From 2006-07, he was a Student-Assistant Boy’s Basketball Coach for Calabasas High School in Calabasas, Calif.
Levy earned his M.A. in educational leadership and organization from the UCSB Gevirtz Graduate School of Education in June 2012. He graduated from UCSB in June of 2011 with a B.A. in political science and a minor in sports administration.
