Fullove Finale
Senior swingman Branduinn Fullove is wrapping-up one of the most decorated careers in UC Santa Barbara basketball history. In 2003-04, he will be expected to do many of the same things he has been doing for three years. Fullove is the Gauchos' top returning scorer and three-point threat, and when called-upon, he is an outstanding rebounder and passer as well. He will undoubtedly be in the starting lineup for his fourth year.

The Honorable One
What to do for an encore? Last year, as a junior, Fullove had one of the greatest seasons in Gaucho history. Not only was he selected First Team All-Big West, but he was also selected Big West Player of the Year by the league's coaches, and he was named Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press. Last year marked the third consecutive season in which Fullove had earned some level of All-Big West honors. As a freshman, he was not only selected to the Big West All-Freshman Team, but he was an Honorable Mention All-Big West choice. As a sophomore, he earned Second Team All-Big West recognition. If Fullove earns any level of All-Big West honors this season, he would become the first Gaucho ever to do so in four consecutive seasons.

Joining An Exclusive List
When he was selected Big West Player of the Year, Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-Big West, Fullove pulled-off something that few Gauchos have. He joins former UCSB greats Brian Shaw (1988) and Lucius Davis (1992) in earning the honors triple-crown. Unlike Shaw and Davis, however, Fullove accomplished his feat as a junior.

1,000 Point Club
On February 6, 2003, in a home victory over Utah State, Fullove scored 21 points, and, in doing so, he became the 19th UCSB player to surpass the 1,000-point mark. He enters his senior campaign with a three-year total of 1,167 points, the 12th-most in school history. Fullove's total is also the second highest ever achieved by a Gaucho entering his senior season. Carrick DeHart, the school's all-time leading scorer, had 1,211 points after his junior season.

List Serve
Not only is Fullove climbing UCSB's all-time scoring list, he is creeping-up several other career lists. He enters the 2003-04 season as the school's all-time leader in free throw percentage (83.8%), he ranks fourth in three-point field goal percentage (40.9%), sixth in scoring average (13.7 points per game), sixth in three-pointers (139), sixth in three-point attempts (340) and ninth in free throws made (300).

Here's To Your Health
Fullove has yet to make it through an entire season without missing at least two games due to injury. As a freshman, he missed three games with a badly sprained ankle. In his sophomore season, he suffered a severe bruise on his thigh and missed a game. Last year, Fullove played early in the season despite a strained groin, but when he re-injured the groin in a tournament game at Arizona State, he was forced to miss the Gauchos' first two Big West Conference games.

2003-04 Post Season Update
Branduinn Fullove, the 2003 Big West Player of the Year and four-time All-Big West selection, is, after an injury-filled start, having yet another solid season as a Gaucho. He has become one of the finest players in the Big West and also one of the best in UC Santa Barbara history. This season, he has moved into fifth place all-time in scoring at UCSB and has become just the fifth player to surpass the 1,400 point mark. In addition, Fullove's 24 three-point baskets this season give him 163 for his career, the fourth-highest total in school history, and his 51 assists move him into eighth all-time with a total of 272. A four-time All-Big West choice, Fullove is the first Gaucho in history to earn some form of All-Big West honors in each of his four seasons.
