SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) - Chrismen Oliver scored seven of his team-high 19 points in the last five minutes as UC Santa Barbara held off UC Davis 67-62 Saturday night.
The Gauchos (6-8) led 56-53 when Oliver scored four points and had three assists in the final three minutes.
Ryan Moore rallied the Aggies (6-8) by scoring 21 of his game-high 25 points in the second half. He scored 10 in the final 4:44. UC Davis, however, shot just 41.4 percent to UCSB's 48.9.
The Gauchos won the rebound battle 39-28 behind Josh Davis, who had nine.
The Aggies rallied from an early 10-point deficit to trail by four, 29-25, at halftime. Fowzi Abdelsamad scored nine of his 10 points for Davis in the first half.
The Aggies, a provisional Division I team, are playing a Big West Conference schedule before officially joining the league next year.
