Men's Basketball Loses To San Francisco In Overtime, 74-77

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) - Darrell Tucker scored 24 points, including the final two, as San Francisco beat UC Santa Barbara 77-74 in overtime on Tuesday.
Hondre Brewer added career highs of 11 points, 13 rebounds, and eight blocks as San Francisco (1-1), escaped with a win after missed shots by UC Santa Barbara (0-2) in the final seconds of regulation and of overtime.
Shamell Stallworth's layup broke a tie to put the Dons up 77-75 with 2:06 to play in OT.
UCSB missed three of four free throws in the final minutes and Tucker's layup with 1:10 to play put San Francisco up by three points.
Hull finished with 18 points and LaRon Bryant added 15 to lead UC Santa Barbara.
With 18 seconds left in regulation, B.J. Ward hit a short jumper in the key to put UCSB up 69-68. San Francisco's Eugene Brown was fouled shooting with ten seconds to play in regulation, and missed his first free throw.
After Brown made his second free throw to tie the score, UCSB rushed down the floor for a final attempt. They missed two shots in final five seconds, the last a follow by Jordani from just underneath the basket.
