Nunnally Named NetScouts Basketball Big West Player of the Week

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara sophomore James Nunnally was named NetScouts Basketball Big West Player of the Week after helping the Gauchos to an 85-80 overtime victory over Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 23.
Nunnally scored a career-high 25 points and had 10 rebounds as UCSB won for the fifth time in the last six games. He also added four assists and a steal while making 9-of-15 shots overall and 3-of-4 from three-point range.
The double-double was Nunnally's second of the year. It was the fifth time that he has scored 20 or more points in a game, including three of the last four. He is now averaging 13.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Nunnally leads the team in three-point field goal percentage at 44.0%.
The San Jose, Calif., native has emerged in recent games, averaging 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the last six games.
