Vom Steeg, whose team has re-entered the national rankings and has wins powerful UCLA and Duke this season, is trying to guide his Gauchos into the NCAA Tournament for the ninth straight year. A former UCSB defender (1985-88) Vom Steeg has a career record of 166-63-24. He is the school's all-time wins leader and guided the team to the 2006 National Championship and to the 2004 NCAA title game.

Joyner is a senior point guard on the UCSB men's basketball team. After battling injuries for the past two seasons, he is expected to be an important player on a 2010-11 Gaucho team that will try to defend its 2009-10 Big West regular season and tournament championships. Joyner has a better than 2-to-1 assist to turnover ratio in his three seasons, one of the best marks in school history.

Johnson was a Second Team All-Big West choice following the 2009-10 season. A starter at the point guard spot for the Gauchos, she averaged 13.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. She was also a workhorse, averaging 37.2 minutes per game.
