Alex Harris scored 69 points over three games to lead UCSB to a 2-1 record at Stanford's Basketball Travelers Classic.
Harris, a senior guard, averaged 23 points, 4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.7 steals, and 33 minutes per game during the season-opening tournament and was named to the all-tourney team for his performances.
To kick off the weekend, Harris recorded 27 points in a 92-71 victory over Northwestern State, tying his fourth-highest career point total. He made 13 of 16 free-throw attempts in the game. The Alameda, Calif. native then scored 24 points and added seven rebounds in a 79-61 win against Harvard and wrapped up the tournament with 18 points in a 67-48 loss against No. 21 Stanford.
With his point totals from Stanford, Harris is now 15th on UCSB's career scoring list with 1,138 points.
