Santa Barbara, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara men's basketball team will play its final exhibition game of the year tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Thunderdome against the California Southwest All-Starts.

UCSB, which opened the preseason slate with a 76-64 win over Team Concept on November 11, will open the regular season at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19 at Pepperdine in a game that will be televised by Fox Sports Net 2. The Gauchos will play their home opener a week from tonight, Tuesday, November 21, when they host USF at 7:00 p.m. in the Thunderdome.

Head coach Bob Williams is preparing to enter his third season with the Gauchos. UCSB is led by senior forward Adama Ndiaye who had 16 points and eight rebounds in the exhibition opener. Sophomore Mark Hull, a member of the Big West All-Freshman Team last season, started the game against Team Concept at the small forward position and, despite playing with a scratched eye, scored ten points. Freshman point guard Jacoby Atako was the surprise of the first game when he came off the bench to replace a foul-plagued B.J. Ward and wound up with 12 points, four assists and five steals.

The Gauchos are expected to go with the same starting lineup tonight with senior Juliano Jordani joining Ndiaye in the frontcourt and senior LaRon Bryant rounding out the backcourt.
