Junior swingman Mark Hull has been named the Big West Player of the Week for his performances in UCSB wins at UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton.
Hull had 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals in a 68-56 win at Riverside. In the game at Fullerton, Hull had his best game ever, scoring a career-high 32 points, pulling down four rebounds and passing off for three assists. Of his 32 points, 29 came in the second half and, at one point, he scored 20 Gaucho points in a row. Finally, Hull made a career-best seven three-point baskets against the Titans, drilling six in a row during one stretch.
The performances by the Glendale native helped UCSB open with a 2-0 record in the Big West and 7-2 overall. Overall, Hull leads the Gauchos in scoring at 18.2 points per game. He is also second in rebounding at 5.7 per game.
