Glen Scher was named the Big West Conference's Player of the Year after a stellar junior season...Qualified for the NCAA Tempe Regional where, after struggling in the first round, was a solid 1-under par in the final two rounds to finish at 222...His appearance in the NCAA Regional was the second of his career...Became the first Gaucho in more than a decade to win two tournaments in the same season as he posted victories at the Sacramento State Invitational and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic...At Sac State, he helped UCSB to the team title by finishing with an 8-under par 208...In his victory at the wind-shortened Wyoming Cowboy Classc in Scottsdale, Ariz., Scher carded a two-round total of 138, an average of 69.0 shots per round...Also had a second-place finish at the Winchester Classic when he shot a 211...Overall, he had seven top-10 finishes in 2012-13, all of them in the spring season...At one point, Scher had a run of 12 out of 14 rounds at or under par...Shot a season-best 5-under par in the first round at the Sacramento State Invitational...Had four sub-70 rounds...Overall, Scher played 32 rounds as a junior and totaled 2,325 shots, an average of 72.66 shots per round, best on the team...With two individual titles as a junor, he now has three in his Gaucho career.
