Jeff Wood Remains Hot As Golf Finishes 13th At Western Intercollegiate

Santa Cruz, Calif. -
Senior Jeff Wood continued his recent emergence, finishing tied for seventh at the prestigious Western Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, as UC Santa Barbara placed 13th out of 18 teams.
Wood shot a three-round total of 215, including a second round score of 69, giving him another solid finish. Last week, Wood recorded the first victory of his collegiate career, winning the Oregon Duck Invitational.
As a team, the Gauchos shot an 892, finishing 13th out of 18 teams. They finished one-shot back of Hawaii and only ten shots seperated 7th through 13th.
In addition to Wood's seventh-place finish, Andrew Hoffer finished tied for 35th with a 222. Other Gaucho finishers included Greg Snider and Jeff Linklater, who tied for 70th with scores of 232. Jeff Greenfield finished tied for 81st with a 238.
UCSB returns to action on April 21 and 22, when they travel to Stanford for the U.S. Intercollegiate.
