Golf Struggles To 18th-Place Finish At The Prestige In Palm Desert

Palm Desert, Calif. - Brian Six and Scott Linklater each shot 220 to finish tied for 48th-place at The Prestige in Palm Desert, but as a team, UCSB struggled to an 18th-place finish out of 20 squads.

Linklater shot rounds of 74, 74 and 72, while Six shot a first-round 70 and then back-to-back rounds of 75 for the 220 total. Andrew Hoffer shot 223 to finish 62nd, while J.R. Beck shot 224 to tie for 66th. Leigh Silver was the Gauchos fifth player at the tournament, shooting 241 to finish tied for 97th.

The Gauchos shot 296 in the first round and then a pair of 295s to finish with a team-total of 887. The University of Washington won the team title with a three-round total of 844, 20-under par.
