Greg Snider Leads Golf To Sixth-Place Finish At 49er Collegiate Classic

Senior Greg Snider shot a 222 to finish tied for 12th-place to lead UC Santa Barbara to a sixth-place finish at the 49er Collegiate Classic.
Snider, who did not play at The Prestige a few days earlier, shot rounds of 71, 75 and 76. Scott Linklater shot 225 to tinish tied for 26th. UCSB's other participants included Andrew Hoffer (tied for 33rd at 227), Brian Six (tied for 54th at 234) and Jeff Linklater (tied for 69th at 238).
Texas Christian won the tournament, held at the Zaharias Golf Course in Industry Hills. The 49er Collegiate Classic was UCSB's final Fall Tournament. They will return to action on February 15, 2002, when they compete at the Taylor Made Classic in Kona, Hawaii.
