Greg Wilson Earns Master Coach and Soccer Leader Certificate

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara men's soccer associate head coach Greg Wilson has successfully completed the Master Coach and Soccer Leader Certificate Program, offered by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America through the University of Delaware.

To complete the program, Wilson had to complete 350 contact hours and develop a project approved by the NSCAA. Wilson's project entailed improving youth viewership rates for live soccer, particularly at UCSB games.

The Downingtown, Penn. native has been the top assistant with the Gauchos for the past 11 years. In that time, UCSB has won the 2006 National Championship and seven Big West titles.

Wilson is involved with all aspects of the men's soccer program, including training, recruiting, scouting, and community relations. Besides his Master Cerfificate, he owns a B.S. in marketing from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and an M.B.A. from Philadelphia University.
