2009: Will sit out the season due to a knee injury. 2008: Played in 20 games for the Gauchos, including eight starts...Ranked fifth on the team with a shots-on-goal percentage of .556...Was one of six Gauchos to score a game-winning goal during the season...Scored his game-winning goal at Northridge (10/29) in the 66th minute just 10 seconds after Chris Pontius scored the equalizer...UCSB went on to win 3-1, pushing the Gauchos into first place in the Big West. 2007: Redshirted his second season with the Gauchos. 2006: Started his career at UCSB with a bang, scoring five goals in his first five games in the blue and gold...He is the first player in program history to accomplish that feat...Appeared in 24 of the Gauchos' 25 games...Started 16 matches, including Santa Barbara's first seven games and nine of the first 10...Ranked fourth on the team and seventh in the Big West with six goals...Two of those came in his first game as a Gaucho, scoring in the 32nd and 67th minutes of the 5-0 win over No. 7 Akron (8/25)...Put in the game-winner in the 56th minute lifting UCSB to a 1-0 win over San Diego State (9/2)...Found the net in the Gauchos' next two matches as well, chipping in with an insurance goal at the 71:42 mark of the 2-0 win over Cal Poly (9/5) and scoring in the 48th minute in the 2-1 loss to No. 18 Illinois-Chicago (9/8)...Had a good showing against Cal Poly again, giving Santa Barbara a 2-0 advantage (10/14)...Picked up his first career assist against UC Riverside (11/4)...His six goals came on just 23 shots...Was one of three freshman to be named to the All-Big West Conference Second Team.
Spent one season with the Colorado Olympic Development Program and led the squad to the Region IV Finals in 2006...Played with the Denver Soccer Club for four years and guided the team to a second place finish in the 2004 U.S. Club Regionals...Was the State Cup MVP in 2001 and 2002 with DSC...Also played for Real Colorado in 2006, leading his team to a U.S. Club Regional title after recording a hat trick in the final...Found the net three times against the Concord Fire in the 2005 Nike Friendlies...Real was a semi-finalist at the 2005 Disney Showcase...Faced such noteworthy opponents as the San Diego Surf, Irvine Strikers, FC Delco, and the Colorado Rush during his club career.
Otii was a two-year varsity starter at Regis Jesuit High School...Led the Raiders to the 2005 Continental League Championship and then to the Final Four of the state championships...Was named All-Colorado after tallying 17 goals and six assists as a senior...Earned all-conference honors and was named to the All-State Academic Team in 2004 and 2005...Was given the President's Award of Academic Excellence at RJHS and was honored for outstanding academic achievement all four years in high school...Was a member of the Multicultural Alliance...Also played basketball for the Radiers.
