UCSB Unveils New Seating Plan for Harder Stadium
Aug. 7, 2009
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Due to the demand for family plan and reserved season tickets for the 2009 men's soccer season, UCSB Athletics is announcing changes to seating at Harder Stadium. The change is designed to accommodate fan-base growth and student engagement.
"We have had a terrific response to our family plan season ticket and we sense the growing excitement in the community about our upcoming season," said Tom Hastings, Executive Associate Athletics Director.
Changes include moving the student seating (Gaucho Locos) to sections 10-12 on the west side of the stadium, directly across from the visitors bench. The Locos will even have their own entrance to Harder, "Loco Way", giving them direct access to their new seating area.
Several student specific promotions are planned for the upcoming season, including a free season-themed "Stop At Nothing" t-shirt for the first 2,000 students who sign up here.
Reserved season ticket holders, including family plan holders and groups, will now sit from underneath the press box and extend into the end zone. This will also allow easy access to the new ucsbgaucho shop merchandise area, concessions and stadium facilities. You can take a look at the new seating map of Harder Stadium by clicking here.
Parking is extremely valuable at UCSB and for the first time fans will have two options to secure a convenient parking pass for the season. Fans who purchase family plan or a reserved season ticket can also buy a season parking pass. Fans who purchase in the "Gold Zone" section will receive free parking. Gold Zone seating is available for Gaucho Fund donors who have already made or pledged their commitment (with a minimum per seat pledge). The "One Donation Is Gold" system of the Gaucho Fund allows donors to any UCSB team to take advantage of priority seating and parking with season ticket purchase at many Gaucho athletic events.
Fans can pledge support (and begin receiving benefits) to any Gaucho team (at a minimum level) today. UCSB will send donation invoices at a later date. Make your pledge to the Gaucho Fund here.
The UCSB Athletics Ticket Office, which is now open Saturday's from 10:00-to-1:00, can answer any questions and assist you with parking, season ticket and Gaucho Fund donations. Contact the ticket office at 893-UCSB. For your convenience free parking is now available in designated spots at the Intercollegiate Athletics Building (ICA).
