Heartsfordshire, England - Led by senior forward Neil Jones' hat-trick, UC Santa Barbara Men's Soccer team downed Hertfordshire FA 9-0 in their European tour opener. Now two days into their tour, the Gauchos travel north to Manchester, England for a match against an opponent still to be determined.

From a fast attack along the right-side near the 30 minute mark, senior midfielder Memo Arzate dished off a pass to fellow midfielder David McGill that he sent across the frame for the first score of the match. In the remaining 60 minutes UCSB rattled off eight more goals. Jones led the way with three, all assisted by senior midfielder Darren Doi. Drew McAthy and Gene Deering each had two, and Matt Bly added another.

Incoming freshman Johnny Alcaraz also had an assist hat-trick for the Gauchos, while Arzate tallied two and Tony Lochhead had one.
