SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - This Saturday, Aug. 28, the UC Santa Barbara men's and women's soccer teams will be partnering with Santa Barbara AYSO to present The AYSO Skills Day, which will run from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Girsh Park.
The event is presented free of charge to all AYSO players, coaches and families that choose to attend. UCSB men's and women's soccer players will participate in skills training and autograph sessions with the AYSO players and the UCSB coaches will run coaches clinics. There will also be several other fun activities and promotional give-a-ways.
UCSB Athletics will be selling soccer season tickets at the event as well as offering discounted tickets to the Gaucho men's match against Cal State Northridge on Oct. 23, which will serve as the annual AYSO Banner Night.
Additionally, UCSB will be selling GKids memberships and accepting sign-ups for youth players to serve as ball kids at UCSB games and to play in halftime contests. If you will not be attending The AYSO Skills Day, but are interested in serving as a ball kid or playing at halftime, click here.
Season tickets for the 2010 soccer season are still available. All season ticket packages include tickets for the 2010 Men's College Cup, which is being hosted by UCSB on Dec. 10-12 at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium. Individual season tickets start at just $75 and include one ticket to all home men and women's regular season games and one 2010 Men's College Cup all-session ticket. UCSB staff and faculty can purchase their season tickets for a reduced rate of $50.
