Men's Soccer Players Earn All-MPSF Honors

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Senior forward Thiago Martins and senior defender Robert Drescher were both named to All-MPSF teams on Wednesday.

Martins, who led the Gauchos in scoring this season with 14 points, was named to the All-MPSF first team. The Sao Paolo, Brazil native, who transferred from SBCC finished his senior season with six goals and two assists. Martins was an offensive leader, scoring both game-winning goals in the Gauchos's victory over Kentucky and Western Kentucky.

Robert Drescher, one of the Gaucho co-captains, was selected to the All-MPSF second team. Drescher, who also transferred from SBCC, was one of two players to start every game this season and the only player to start every match over the past two years.
