2012-13: Placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.13 in the home opener against UC San Diego on Nov. 2…Was a multiple event winner with victories in the 100 backstroke (52.07) and the 200 backstroke (1:53.16) in a victory over rival Cal Poly at home on Nov. 3…Placed 12th overall in the 100 backstroke and 15th overall in the 200 backstroke in the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. on Nov. 17…Swept the backstroke events in a dual meet victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Dec. 15.

Graduated from Edison High School where he swam under Keith Ryan in the Sunset League…Inducted into the Hall of Fame his senior year…Awarded Athlete of the Year in 2012…Earned All-American in the 100 back, 200 back, 200 IM, 200 free relay and 400 free relay…Named Sunset League MVP in 2010 and 2012…Holds the Sunset League and high school records in the 100 back…Helped his team to win the Sunset League Championships in 2011 and 2012…Also swam for Irvine Aquazots under coach Brian Paijer where he holds 21 club records…Earned Academic All-American honors in 2010, 2011 and 2012…Awarded  Golden Key Award for Athletics in 2012.
