Ward Sets School Record in 200 Freestyle on Day Two of Texas Invite

AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Andrea Ward set a personal and school record in the women's 200 freestyle preliminaries on day two of the Texas Invitational. Ward swam a 1:47.70, which is good for NCAA consideration. In the evening Ward swam a 1:48.38, which landed her in fifteenth place.

Sophomore Katie Records swam the women's 100 breaststroke to a personal record time of 101.93 in the preliminaries. She bested her own personal record in the evening by swimming a 101.70 (11th place) and garnering NCAA consideration in the process.

Senior Ryan Hanni was the lone swimmer for the men on day two. Hanni swam the 200 freestyle in 1:37.20 in the morning prelims and 1:36.57 in the finals. His final time was good for eleventh place and garners NCAA consideration.

Junior Wade Allen did not compete on day two, however all four swimmers will be in action on the third and final day of the Texas Invitational.
