Hotchkiss Represents UCSB at the 2019 NCAA Swimming Championships

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Senior Captain Logan Hotchkiss will represent UC Santa Barbara this week at the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Texas, at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center from Mar. 27-30. Hotchkiss qualified for three events at the upcoming NCAA Championship.

Hotchkiss, the school-record holder in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle, and 1650 freestyle is ranked 19th in the 500 freestyle with his NCAA 'B' cut time of 4:14.39 that he recorded on Feb. 20th at the 2019 MPSF Conference in La Mirada. The Malibu, Calif. native also qualified for the 200 freestyle (1:34.53) and 1650 freestyle (15:00.49) where he ranks 35th and 34th, respectively.

A total of 235 swimmers will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. The complete lists of all swimmers (athletes by institution, official psych sheet, relays and alternates) competing in the championships is available at www.usaswimming.org/ncaa.
