Hotchkiss Wraps Up Successful Gaucho Career at NCAA Swimming Championship

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Senior captain Logan Hotchkiss competed in the 2019 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center at the University of Texas to finish his collegiate career as a Gaucho. 

Hotchkiss swam three individual events; the 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 1650 freestyle.  On the first day of competition Hotchkiss finished in 19th place in the 500 freestyle, touching with a time of 4:15.04.  On the next day he competed in the 200 freestyle, taking 26th place overall with a time of 1:34.99.  On the final day of competition Hotchkiss swam the mile, taking a 32nd place finish with a time of 15:02.62.  Hotchkiss holds team records in the 200 freestyle (1:34.53), 500 freestyle (4:14.39), and 1650 freestyle (15:00.49), which were all recorded at the 2019 MPSF Conference Championships. 

The UCSB Swim Banquet will take place at the Glen Annie Golf Club this Sunday, April 7th at 1 pm.  Come out and enjoy lunch and an awards ceremony with the team!
