2010: Won the league title in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall in 19.98, a NCAA B-cut...Swam the freestyle leg on the Gauchos' Big West Champion 200 medley relay (1:28.47) and Big West Champion 400 medley relay (3:14.74)...Swam the second leg of the Gauchos' Big West Champion 200 freestyle relay (1:19.71) and the third leg in the champion 400 freestyle relay (2:57.28)...Won the consolation heat of the 100 backstroke, taking ninth place in a time of 51.36...Named the team's Most Improved Swimmer.

2010 BIG WEST CHAMPION - 200 FREESTYLE RELAY
2009: Named one of the team's Scholar-Athletes of the Year...Member of the Gauchos' Big West Champion and school and meet-record setting 200 freestyle relay (1:30.89)...Swam exhibition in the 50 freestyle (20.31) and the 100 freestyle (45.34)...Also swam in the 200 freestyle preliminaries (1:45.01) at the Big West Championships.

Christopher Peterson was born on Mar. 15, 1990 to parents Edward and JoAnne...Has two siblings Evan and Elizabeth...His nick name is "Sunshine"...UCSB academic awards include being on the Dean's List for engineering and being awarded the Christopher Divis Scholarship, a College of Engineering Academic Scholastic Award...Is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the Golden Key Academic Honor Society...Interests include piano, guitar, writing music, gymnastics and mountain biking...Watches "Band of Brothers," and reads "The Sunflower"...Most memorable athletic achievement is being a part of the 200 free relay at Big West that broke the school record...Favorite aspect of college swimming is the intense weight training...Majoring in mechanical engineering...His personal hero is his Grandmother.
