HONOLULU, Hawai'i - UCSB was unable to snatch a win against the University of Hawai'i. The Rainbow Warriors held off the Gauchos even though they had five individual wins at Hawaii's home pool the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

Junior Brooks Felton won the longest distance event the 1650 with a time of 15:51.82, just a few seconds off last seasons best time. Felton was also second in the 500 free, 4:33.38, touched out by Hawaii's Grzegorz Mroz.

Chris Good claimed the win in the 200 back with a time of 1:52.68 beating out teammate Brock Roverud. Good also took second in the 200IM, 1:55.99, to freshman teammate Daniel McClary. McClary finished the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.57.

Freshman Christopher Wiggin took first in the 200 fly, 1:50.34. Scott Vogelgesang took first in the 100 free with a time of 45.70 and second in the 200 free, 1:40.89.

The Gauchos meet Hawai'i again October 28, 2006 at 11:00am HST at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
