COLUMBUS, Ohio - UC Santa Barbara had three current swimmers with top-25 finishes and alum Katy Freeman took second in the 200 breaststroke on the third and final day of the 2010 AT&T Short Course National Championships, which was held at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion on the campus of Ohio State.

On the men's side, junior Kevin Ferguson won the consolation final in the 100 freestyle with his time of 43.92, which is the sixth fastest time in school history. He took 11th place, but his time was the ninth fastest of the evening. Garrett Thompson took 24th in the event with a mark of 44.78 seconds.

Santa Barbara was well represented in the women's 200 breaststroke. Katy Freeman took second in the event after being seeded first following her preliminary time of 2:08.93. She finished in 2:0.97 during the evening's final.

Gaucho freshman Sophia Yamauchi took 22nd in the event, touching the wall in 2:15.20, which was .52 seconds faster than her previous personal best, which she swam at the Arena Invitational last month. She was also honored on Saturday night for being the top under-18 swimmer in the 100 breaststroke earlier in the meet.

Sophomore Paige Bradley also competed in the 200 breast and finished 36th with a time of 2:17.82.
