Freeman Takes First in 100 Breast at Long Course Invitational

SEATTLE, Wash. - Sophomore Tim Freeman took first place with a time of 1:04.15 in the 100-meter breaststroke on Sunday at the 2009 USA Swimming Long Course Invitational. Freeman and senior Anne Marie May represented UCSB in the one-day invitational, which followed this week's 2009 AT&T Short Course National Championships.

May competed in the 100-meter freestyle on Sunday. She touched the wall in 1:06.49, the 25th fastest time of the day.

Next up on the Gauchos' schedule is the Finis Collegiate Invitational, which is running Dec. 12-14 in Long Beach, Calif. The next dual meet will be in 2010 when the Gauchos host USC on Jan. 9 at noon.
