Was named All Avocado League First Team... Competed to be Avocado League Doubles Champion and CIF Doubles Champion with partner Gannon Nicoll... Furthered his HS career to be named Most Valuable player as well as Most Improved Player Awards under coach Ann Meigs.

In 2009 was ranked No. 19 in So. Calif. Year to Date Points Standings (Open), No. 47 in 2009 So. Calif. Seeding List (Open), and No. 349 Nationally... On was ranked No. 126... Axel was a Doubles Finalist in the 107th Annual So. Calif. JR Sectional Championships with partner Gannon Nicoll... He was also a doubles finalist in the Orange County Junior Open with partner Sam Todd... Singles finalist in the 46th Annual Northridge-Matador Junior Tournament.
