Galskov Reaches Semifinals; Gryaznov Advances in Consolation Singles at ITA Regionals

MALIBU, Calif. – Junior Tobias Galskov upset 9th seed Karue Sell (UCLA) in his quarterfinal match on Sunday to advance to the semifinals at the USTA/ITA Southwest Regionals, becoming the first Gaucho to do so. Senior Sasha Gryaznov also had a strong day on the courts, recording two wins to move on to the semifinals in the consolation draw on the third day of action in Malibu.

Galskov rolled past #104-ranked player, Karue Sell, in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 to reach the semifinals and has now passed former Gaucho greats Simon Shen, Carlos Palencia, and Alex Konigsfeldt in the UCSB record books.
