Everything is Bigger in Texas
For the first time in its history, the No. 61 UC Santa Barbara men's tennis team will head into Austin, Texas, this weekend for the NCAA National Team Indoor tournament. The tournament is made up of three other nationally ranked teams: No. 2 University of Texas, No. 28 University of South Florida and No. 35 Texas-Christian University. As luck will have it, the Gauchos have drawn the Longhorns to play in the first round. The match will be on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The winner of the match will advance to the tournament championship to be played on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., while the loser drops into the back draw to play on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

University of Texas
No. 2 powerhouse University of Texas men's tennis team has a lot to be thankful for. First, the Longhorns are ranked No. 2 in the nation. They have notched two road wins against ranked opponents to open the season. The No. 12 University of Tulsa was the Longhorn's first victim. A week later, Texas topped then-ranked No. 11 University of Florida State. Now, the Longhorns look to add another team to their list, as No. 31 Dimitar Kutrovsky and No. 84 Olivier Sajous will meet the visiting Gauchos on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

University of South Florida
The University of South Florida men's tennis team will enter the NCAA National Team Indoor tournament ranked No. 28 in the nation. The Bulls climbed 12 spots from last week's ITA national rankings after upsetting then No. 11 University of Florida State, 5-2. If the Gauchos meet South Florida, look out for No. 27 Lucas Jovita.

Texas-Christian University
To open the season, the Texas-Christian men's tennis team ranked at No. 33 in the nation. However, in last week's clash with then-No. 24 Rice, the Frogs came out battered and beaten, dropping two spots in the national rankings. They now remain at No. 35 in the ITA rankings, but it might not last for long. Texas-Christian will match up against a dangerous South Florida team on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. However, the Frogs have a good chance at stealing a victory in Austin, as No. 93 Emanu Brighiu and No. 97 Kriegler Brink look to rebound from last week's disheartening loss.
