Set a lifetime best in the 3,000m steeple at the Cal Poly Dual Meet with a time of 9:36.06 to take third and help the Gauchos win a close meet. His second appearance in the steeple came at the Big West Championships where he took 9th and clipped a 9:37.20. Set a lifetime best in the 5,000m at the UC Irvine Spring Break meet with a time of 14:56.09. His 10,000m PR was set at the Cal Nevada Championships enroute to a 6th place finish at 31:08.14.

Attended Cathedral High School…Coached by Martin Farfan and Michael Trafecanty…Made All-League for cross country in 2009, 2010 and 2011…League champion as a junior for the 1600m and 3200m…Awarded most valuable distance runner in track in 2011…Made the All-CIF for cross country placing seventh at the Division III CIF finals…Placed ninth at the 2011 cross country state meet…Awarded athlete of the year in 2012.
