Round Up Banquet Preview

Santa Barbara, CA: Annual Gaucho Roundup Track Meet and Banquet Dinner.

It's once again time to kick off the 2014 Track and Field Season with the Gaucho Roundup and Banquet Dinner. This is the UC Santa Barbara's track team's annual fundraiser to support the athletes and all their hard work leading up to and continuing into the upcoming track season.

For many athletes this will be the first time competing in a UCSB uniform and at the collegiate level.  Everyone from the hammer throw to the high jump are itching to test what they have been honing in practice all year and are looking to come out strong at the Gaucho Roundup.

The Annual Gaucho Track Banquet Dinner will proceed after the track meet at Westmont in the afternoon and will be a little different this year by being held in the Intercollegiate Athletics Building and follow a more casual dress code than previous years.

Events on hand for the night will include cocktails and dinner, a McConnell's Ice Cream bar, a raffle for prizes, games, a Gaucho Photo Booth, and the much anticipated entertainment provided by the Gaucho Track and Field Athletes themselves.  Prepare for a fun and relaxing atmosphere with a delicious dinner and Santa Barbara's famous McConnell's Ice Cream.  This is a great place for parents, friends and families to get together and have fun after screaming for your athletes on the track.

The dinner will be catered by Country Meat Market and attendants will have the options of BBQ Chicken or Baby Back Rib entrees with roasted red potatoes, ranch style chili beans, garden green salad and garlic bread.  A vegetarian option is also available for anyone who requests it.
